Attorney Robert O. Saunooke has first-hand experience and knowledge of the legal needs of Native populations across much of the United States. He is himself a Native American who grew up in a North Carolina Cherokee reservation as the son of a chief. He has experienced the same reality as many of the people he now represents and is uniquely situated to understand exactly what his clients’ needs are.
Mr. Saunooke is a former Attorney General for the Seminole Tribe of Florida and a former Legal Consultant for Tribal Chairman James Billie, Legislative Counsel for the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. He is a member of the Federal Indian Bar Association, the National Congress of American Indians, and is admitted to practice in various federal and state courts.
